As Principal of Tim Lowe & Associates, an Associate Partner Practice of St. James’s Place Wealth Management, I am proud to have achieved Chartered Financial Planner status.
This is the industry’s gold standard for financial planners, and is currently held by only 5,393 individuals and firms in the UK (source: Chartered Insurance Institute March 2017).
It’s primarily afforded for commitment to developing and maintaining integrity, professionalism and knowledge, and signifies adherence to a challenging ethical code of practice.
In January 2015 I became accredited as a Later life Adviser by the Society of Later Life Advisers – again, an accolade awarded to only a small number of advisers wishing to specialise advising client in later life with challenging issues such as Inheritance Tax mitigation, investing capital for income and funding long term care.

Why I Joined BNI Bourne
Initially, to grow my network of contacts in the Newbury area and to grow my business.
The referrals I have received during my 6 years with Bourne has contributed about 10% of my turnover during that period.
However, the relationships I’ve created with other members are now more valuable than the business I receive.
What BNI has meant for me & my business
Being a member at Bourne BNI has given me more benefit than I originally expected – apart from referrals helping my business to grow, I have access to a wide variety of trades and professions and have used nearly everyone in the Chapter at one time or another, either in a business context or helping me with improvements to my home.
The long-standing relationships I have created with the other members enable me to use those members personally or refer them to my valued clients with complete confidence.
