I was born in Watford and have been married to Carolyn for 33 years, we have 3 sons, aged 28, 26 and 24 and have lived in West Berks for the past 23 years.
I have been working within the jewellery design and manufacturing business for over 40 years,
initally working in a gold watch bracelet manufacterer then moving on to a Fine Jewellery designer/manufacturer. Whilst at the Fine Jeweller I trained as a diamond grader and a gemmologist becoming a Fellow of the Gemmological Association.
About My Business
I started my own business 26 years ago; initially I worked for various designers and independant retailers, but for the past 10 years I have been working predomenantly face to face with my clients creating unique pieces to mark significant occasions in their lives; engagements, weddings, notable birthdays or anniversaries.
I also use my skills to re-cycle inherited or redundant jewellery to create new vibrant pieces for clients to enjoy, rather than just leaving the pieces to languish in a jewellery box unloved and unseen.
Why I Joined BNI Bourne
I joined BNI to expand my face to face customer network, having worked behind the scenes in the jewellery industry for many years, as I decided to have a change of direction for my business.
What BNI has meant for me & my business
Joining BNI has not only expanded my face to face customer network, but has helped me focus on the messages I have needed to present to my potential customers and how to present that message effectively.
Also I have had the pleasure of meeting a group of highly skilled, friendly business people, where overtime we’ve created good relationships that have lead to an increase in business for us all.
